Medior/Senior System Security Engineer


As a Systems Security Engineer, you will play a key role in implementing system-level security controls across PMH’s Windows and Linux environments, ensuring resilience and compliance without disrupting business continuity.


Your Role:

• Implement and maintain system-level security controls for Windows and Linux platforms.

• Perform continuous vulnerability management and patch management.

• Define and enforce firewall, network, endpoint, and cloud security policies.

• Collaborate with the internal CSIRT to enhance detections.

• Evaluate and test security tools and recommend enhancements.

• Perform hardening and configuration management to meet compliance standards.

• Collaborate with IT teams to ensure operational stability during security rollouts.

• Assist in creating and reviewing operational documentation for NIS2 compliance.

• Support audits and compliance reviews by providing accurate technical input.

• Participate in incident and change management processes to ensure secure implementations.


Your Profile:

• 3–10 years of experience in system engineering or security roles (Medior: 3+, Senior: 7+).

• Solid understanding of Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, and Linux distributions (RHEL, Ubuntu).

• Experience with endpoint security, PKI, vulnerability management, and configuration baselines.

• Familiarity with NIS2 requirements and ISO27001 principles.

• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Microsoft Certified: Security Operations Analyst, RHCE, CISSP, GIAC (GSEC, GCWN).

• Knowledge of automation tools (PowerShell, Bash, Ansible) is a strong asset.

• Fluent in English, with conversational ability in French or Dutch preferred

• Based in Belgium, hybrid working 3 days/week at the office.
