Role Description: Migration Specialist (IT Operations)

The Migration Specialist is responsible for independently executing migrations of repositories from Azure DevOps to GitHub. The tasks include:

• Preparing and coordinating with repository owners according to established runbooks.

• Technically executing and verifying migrations.

• Guiding acceptance and completion after migration.

• Perform administrative tasks for managing the Azure DevOps source environment. Objective: Ensure the correct, safe, and complete migration of source code repositories within the organization. GitHub Migration Specialist Purpose of the Role The GitHub Migration Specialist is responsible for independently executing migrations of repositories from Azure DevOps to GitHub, including preparation, technical execution, quality control, and administrative completion. The role contributes to a safe, structured, and successful transition to GitHub within the organization. Key Responsibilities Preparation and Coordination

• Contact repository owners.

• Plan and prepare migrations according to established runbooks. Technical Execution

• Migrate repositories from Azure DevOps to GitHub.

• Verify the completeness and accuracy of the migration. Aftercare and Acceptance

• Coordinate results with the owner.
