About the Role - Junior DevOps Engineer
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Junior DevOps/Developer to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in cloud infrastructure design, automation, and data processing using AWS and Terraform, along with strong scripting skills in Python.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable cloud infrastructure using Terraform on AWS.
- Manage and automate provisioning of resources including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, IAM, VPC.
- Develop and maintain AWS Glue jobs for ETL processes.
- Optimize data pipelines ensuring data quality and performance.
- Set up monitoring tools and dashboards using CloudWatch, Grafana, or similar platforms.
- Implement alerting and logging mechanisms for infrastructure and applications.
- Write robust Python scripts for automation, data processing, and integration tasks.
- Develop CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, CodePipeline, or Jenkins.
- Ensure infrastructure follows best practices for security, scalability, and cost-efficiency.
- Implement IAM policies and role-based access controls.
- Collaborate with software engineers, data scientists, and product teams to support development and deployment needs.
- Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and sprint planning.
Must-Have Skills
- Strong experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, IAM, VPC).
- Hands-on expertise in Terraform for infrastructure as code.
- Proficiency in Python scripting for automation and integration.
- Experience with AWS Glue for ETL processes.
- Familiarity with monitoring and alerting tools (CloudWatch, Grafana).
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, CodePipeline).
- German language fluency (C1 or Native speaker).
Nice-to-Have
- Exposure to Docker/Kubernetes.
- Experience with cost optimization and security best practices on AWS.
- Familiarity with data analytics dashboards and visualization tools.
