As a member of the IT Development Team, you will play a central role in the upcoming modernization of the IT landscape. This includes the evolution of workflow and language applications, as well as the review and redesign of the integration architecture.

You will contribute to the continuous enhancement, maintenance, and adaptation of existing applications while supporting the development of new solutions aligned with emerging business needs.


Responsibilities

  • Design and develop components and modules of our client's workflow and language applications.
  • Define and elaborate integration scenarios across multiple information systems.
  • Adapt and enhance existing modules and perform refactoring of program code.
  • Analyse production issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective measures (bug fixing).
  • Conduct technical analysis of change requests and provide expert advice.
  • Produce studies, assessments, technical evaluations, and architectural guidance.
  • Assist in testing activities, evaluation processes, and preparation of reports.
  • Prepare comprehensive written documentation and ensure knowledge transfer.
  • Perform quality assurance on newly developed modules and system enhancements.


Technical Skills

Core Technical Expertise

  • Practical experience in software development, with a proven track record in large-scale, mission‑critical IT projects in roles as both developer and architect.
  • Strong experience in Systems Integration and IT Architecture for mission‑critical systems.
  • Expert knowledge of:
  • JavaScript, especially Node.js and Express.js
  • C# and the Microsoft .NET ecosystem
  • Experience in designing and implementing Web Services (REST/SOAP).
  • Strong experience with RDBMS (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL) and/or NoSQL databases such as MongoDB.
  • Experience using Git, SVN, or similar version management systems.
  • Ability to work in both Windows and Linux environments.
  • Hands-on experience with Perl or similar scripting languages.
  • Experience with Web Application Servers: Apache Tomcat, Oracle WebLogic.

Assets

  • Knowledge of DevOps tools: Maven, Jenkins, Bamboo, Nexus.
  • Knowledge of virtualisation and cloud technologies: Docker, Kubernetes, VMWare.
  • PowerShell scripting experience.
  • Java (Enterprise/JEE), including Spring and Spring Boot frameworks.
  • Understanding of language/translation technologies.
  • Familiarity with an European Institution’s IT environment.
  • Experience with Computer Assisted Translation tools such as Trados Studio, Trados GroupShare, etc., is considered a strong asset.


Profile

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to understand complex issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work in a collaborative environment.
  • Fluency in English is required; French is a strong asset.
