SYT Strategy – Boutique Advisory Practice in the Superyacht Industry

SYT Strategy is a fast-growing boutique consulting division within SuperYacht Times, the leading intelligence and media platform for the global superyacht sector. We combine data-driven insights, industry expertise, and clear storytelling to help clients make better decisions in a complex, niche market.

Our consulting team is young and ambitious, and we work closely with seasoned experts across the SYT ecosystem, from market analysts to editorial specialists. As demand grows rapidly, we are looking for a Junior Consultant / Analyst who can support our Associate and contribute to high-quality insight and strategy work for clients worldwide.

This role is ideal for someone with 1-2 years of experience who enjoys analytical thinking, structured problem-solving, and building clean, compelling slides, all within the unique and dynamic world of superyachts.

What You Will Do

Work on Market and Strategy Projects in the Superyacht Sector

  • Analyse industry datasets (orders, deliveries, ownership, brands, behavioural patterns).
  • Translate data into insights about market dynamics, competitors, and client positioning.
  • Conduct desk research and summarise findings for presentations and reports.

Build High-Quality Deliverables

  • Create clear, well-organised PowerPoint slides for client projects.
  • Support storyline development for market assessments, go-to-market strategies, and insights reports.
  • Ensure accuracy, consistency, and professional visual quality.

Support Project Coordination

  • Help structure workstreams, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Keep tasks organised across multiple projects.
  • Flag risks or delays early and support momentum in delivery.

Collaborate Across a Unique Team

  • Work daily with a young, driven consulting team.
  • Interact with SYT’s experienced industry specialists, including editorial staff, data analysts, and yacht market experts.
  • Learn sector context quickly and contribute to shaping client-ready insights.

What We Are Looking For

Skills

  • Strong analytical skills; confident working with Excel and large datasets.
  • Ability to structure ideas clearly and build professional client-ready slides.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.

Mindset

  • Proactive, someone who naturally thinks ahead and asks “what’s next?”.
  • Reliable, organised, and comfortable managing several tasks at once.
  • Curious about the superyacht industry and motivated to learn quickly.
  • Enjoys working in a small, energetic team with direct exposure to senior decision-makers.

Experience

  • 1-2 years in consulting, research, analytics, strategy support, or a similar structured role.
  • Internship experience is welcome, but must be paired with at least 1 year of full-time work.
  • Familiarity with PowerPoint and Excel standards used in consulting environments.

Salary

  • Gross annual base salary: €38,000 - €42,000, depending on experience.
  • + 8% holiday allowance, paid annually.

This range reflects the expected experience level (1–2 years) and the boutique nature of the role.

What We Offer

  • A growth opportunity in a niche and globally relevant industry.
  • A chance to work closely with both a young consulting team and highly experienced sector specialists.
  • Real ownership and visibility from day one, no heavy hierarchy or bureaucracy.
  • A steep learning curve, flexible working style, and a collaborative environment.
  • Exposure to clients, markets, and datasets rarely accessible at an early-career level.

Who This Role Is Perfect For

Someone who:

  • Wants to grow from a research/analyst role into more structured consulting work.
  • Enjoys working with both data and narrative storytelling.
  • Thrives in a small team but values access to experienced industry experts.
  • Wants to contribute to a niche, dynamic market rather than a generic corporate environment.
  • Is motivated, pragmatic, curious, and ready to take on responsibility in a growing practice.
