Who Will You Work With:

You will work closely with HQ IT teams, security teams, and third-party vendors, supporting enterprise-scale network environments across local headquarters and data center facilities. The role involves collaboration with global infrastructure, operations, and security stakeholders.

About the Role:

Our client is seeking an experienced Network Expert with strong hands-on expertise in HP and Cisco technologies. This role focuses on end-to-end network installation, configuration, design, monitoring, and operational support, ensuring high availability, security, and performance of network systems.

The position requires fluency in Dutch (B1/B2) and English, along with the ability to handle both proactive and reactive network support activities.

Key Responsibilities:

Monitoring & Incident Management:

• Provide 24x7 monitoring and Priority 1 (P1) incident support.
• Deliver local HQ IT business hours support for non-critical incidents (P2, P3, P4) and service requests.
• Perform reactive and proactive Level 1 and Level 2 technical support.
• Ensure timely incident resolution and proper escalation in line with SLAs.

Network Operations & Administration:

• Manage Incident, Problem, Change, Configuration, and Availability processes.
• Proactively monitor network devices and environments using existing HQ tools.
• Support Wi-Fi Access Points using enterprise monitoring platforms.
• Perform local firewall management, including configuration, rule updates, monitoring, and coordination with security teams.
• Deliver end-to-end physical installation, configuration, and design of network systems using HP and Cisco technologies.

Asset & Vendor Management:

• Maintain accurate network asset management and documentation.
• Coordinate with third-party resolver groups and vendors for issue resolution.
• Execute patching and vulnerability remediation for network devices.
• Support security, compliance, and accounting requirements related to network infrastructure.

Proactive Improvements & Coordination:

• Identify recurring network issues and implement proactive solutions.
• Collaborate with HQ IT teams and vendors to plan and implement network changes.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance performance, stability, and security.

Data Room Network Connectivity:

• Ensure reliable network connectivity within local HQ IT data rooms.
• Monitor network device health and connectivity in data room environments.
• Coordinate network upgrades, maintenance, and changes to minimize downtime.
• Troubleshoot network issues impacting servers, storage, and end-user services, working closely with vendors and internal teams.

Preferred Skills & Experience:

• Strong hands-on experience with HP and Cisco networking technologies.
• Proven expertise in network installation, configuration, and design.
• Experience with firewalls, Wi-Fi, and enterprise monitoring tools.
• Solid understanding of ITIL-based network operations.
• Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and stakeholder coordination skills.
• Fluency in Dutch (B1/B2) and English.
