We are looking for a highly skilled Senior .NET Developer with well-developed AI experience to join our customer's engineering team. This role is ideal for someone who can blend deep technical expertise in modern .NET development with hands-on experience leveraging AI tools  (such as Claude Code, Cursor and LLM-assisted engineering workflows) to deliver high-quality, scalable and modernised enterprise applications.

The successful candidate will play a key role in modernising legacy systems, spearheading engineering excellence and shaping our future architecture. Experience in modernising VB/VB.NET codebases is a distinct advantage.

Required Experience:

• 7+ years’ experience as a .NET developer, including substantial experience with .NET Core / .NET 6/7/8
• Solid proficiency in C#, object-oriented design and API development
• Demonstrable experience using AI engineering tools:
• Claude Code
  Cursor
• GitHub Copilot or similar
• Awareness of LLM prompting and AI-assisted development practices
• Experience in modernising outdated systems by rewriting or improving their code, upgrading their architecture and transferring tasks to the cloud.
• Experience implementing unit/integration tests and modern DevOps practices
• Robust problem-solving, communication and stakeholder-management skills

Key responsibilities & duties include:

• Design, build and maintain modern applications using .NET 6+ / .NET Core and C#
• Lead ongoing modernisation initiatives, including re-architecting legacy systems, refactoring older codebases and migrating from VB or VB.NET to modern C#
• Use AI developer tools (Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, etc.) to accelerate development, improve code quality and support automated documentation/testing workflows
• Create AI features that have language models, smart automation, and tools for content creation or analysis in applications.
• Collaborate with architects, product teams and other developers to define and deliver future-ready solutions
• Champion engineering best practices, including clean code, secure coding, CI/CD, unit testing and cloud-native patterns
• Participate in code reviews, provide mentorship to mid-level developers and support overall team capability uplift
• Troubleshoot complex issues and propose robust, scalable solutions

Desirable Experience:

• Experience migrating VB or VB.NET applications to modern .NET/C#
• Exposure to AWS, AWS Lambda or cloud-native microservices
• Experience building AI-powered features into enterprise products
• Knowledge of container tools such as Docker and Kubernetes
• Background in event-driven architectures or message-based systems
