Who are we?

Transcenda, headquartered in the US, was founded in July 2019 and is a full-lifecycle product development company. With locations throughout Europe - Romania, Poland, and Ukraine, Transcenda works with Fortune 500 companies and well-funded startups to help bring new products to life.

Transcenda helps companies ideate new product concepts, build prototypes, design world-class solutions then engineer new commercial products. Transcenda puts people first and strives to be a changemaker by building a better world through technology. Transcenda has grown from a 5-person team to over 200 people over the past three years and plans to continue growing.

Must haves

• 4+ years of experience in Product Design, with a proven track record of delivering high-impact work.
• An outstanding design portfolio demonstrating wider strategic design thinking in their projects.
• Experience interacting with and influencing cross-functional teams.
• Continuously explores new practices and patterns for their problem-solving toolkit.
• Experience leading multiple projects while sharing work with other product designers and collaborating with cross-functional leadership.
• Ability to set up and maintain research.
• Fluent in English, with strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to articulate design decisions clearly.

As a plus

• Knowledge of HTML/CSS; JavaScript is a plus.
• BSc in Design, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and communicate the design vision, strategy, and goals for the product, aligning them with the overall business objectives.
• Assign and prioritize tasks, and ensure the team's skills and expertise are effectively utilized.
• Conduct or oversee user research activities to gain a deep understanding of the target users, their needs, and pain points. Use insights from research to inform the design process and validate design decisions.
• Lead the creation of intuitive and user-centered designs, ensuring they meet usability and accessibility standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as product managers and engineers, to translate requirements into effective design solutions.
• Drive the iterative design process, from low-fidelity wireframes and prototypes to high-fidelity mockups. Solicit feedback, conduct usability tests, and iterate designs based on user insights and feedback.
• Foster effective collaboration with stakeholders, including product managers, engineers, and executives. Clearly communicate design decisions, rationale, and trade-offs, and advocate for the value of design in achieving business goals.
• Conduct usability testing sessions and gather user feedback throughout the design process to validate design decisions and identify areas for improvement. Analyze and synthesize feedback to inform design iterations.
• Lead design reviews and critique sessions, providing constructive feedback to the design team. Encourage a culture of learning and growth within the team, promoting design excellence and innovation.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, understanding their needs and effectively managing expectations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure.
