Engineering Manager – Norway


We’re expanding our engineering organisation in Norway and are looking for an Engineering Manager with a strong technical background to lead a cross functional team building secure, scalable financial technology. This role combines people leadership, technical direction and delivery ownership, with a clear expectation of guiding architecture, supporting engineers and ensuring predictable, high quality execution.


What You’ll Do

  • Lead and mentor engineers across backend and frontend
  • Build a collaborative, high ownership engineering culture
  • Drive hiring, onboarding and capability development
  • Co own planning and delivery with Product, ensuring clarity and momentum
  • Remove blockers, manage dependencies and maintain predictable processes
  • Guide technical decisions, challenge approaches and shape architectural direction
  • Support long term tech roadmap alignment with wider platforms
  • Champion engineering best practices, testing, documentation and continuous improvement
  • Lead key technical initiatives, platform upgrades and modernisation work
  • Strengthen reliability, security and incident readiness alongside security teams


What We’re Looking For

  • Experience as a developer
  • 3+ years in engineering leadership or tech lead roles
  • Strong technical understanding across backend, frontend and cloud architectures
  • Skilled at guiding technical decisions and constructively challenging designs
  • Proven delivery leadership with a focus on predictability and quality
  • Ability to switch between strategy, technical discussions and hands on leadership
  • Passion for building strong teams and meaningful products
