Job Overview:
The Head of CEO Office is basically the CEO’s right-hand person. You help the CEO focus on the right priorities, get things done across the company, and make sure the CEO’s decisions and strategies are implemented smoothly. It’s a mix of strategic thinking, project execution, and people coordination. Think of it as being the "engine room" behind the CEO, making sure the CEO’s vision becomes reality.
You’ll also sometimes represent the CEO externally with partners, investors, and regulators. This role requires high-level thinking but also hands-on work—so you need to be comfortable in boardrooms and also rolling up your sleeves to solve problems.
Key Responsibilities
1. CEO Advisor & Strategic Partner
- Be the CEO’s sounding board for big decisions.
- Help analyze complex problems and suggest practical solutions.
- Prepare the CEO for important meetings, speeches, and events so they communicate clearly and confidently.
2. Strategy, Planning & Execution
- Turn the CEO’s big ideas into concrete plans and goals (like annual objectives and quarterly priorities).
- Track progress across departments and make sure projects don’t get stuck.
- Lead special projects that the CEO cares about personally.
3. External Engagement
- Occasionally meet or communicate with investors, partners, regulators, or key clients on behalf of the CEO.
- Prepare briefing notes and follow-ups for meetings or events.
- Make sure the CEO’s messaging is consistent with the company’s brand.
4. Internal Communication & Organisational Rhythm
- Run regular CEO meetings, leadership reviews, and internal updates.
- Make sure the CEO’s priorities are clearly communicated across teams.
- Help build alignment and accountability so everyone knows what they need to do.
5. CEO Office Leadership
- Lead the small team supporting the CEO (Chief of Staff, Executive Assistant, project teams).
- Decide what the CEO should focus on and protect their time.
- Build simple systems and processes so the CEO can act fast without missing details.
Who They’re Looking For
- 10–15 years experience in strategy, consulting, corporate development, chief of staff, or senior management roles.
- Knowledge of financial services, fintech, insurtech, or embedded finance is preferred.
- Experience working in emerging markets in Asia and/or Africa is a big plus.
- Someone who’s comfortable working with CEOs and executives in fast-changing, high-growth environments.
- Strong strategic thinker, organized, good communicator, and hands-on.
- Values-driven, team-oriented, and able to work in a lean, mission-focused company
