As a SQL developer on the Pricing Sales team, you’ll design, enhance, and maintain pricing databases and SQL Server environments. You’ll partner closely with the Sales Pricing group as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and IT, capturing requirements and building SQL Server solutions to power business intelligence, business process needs and application feeds. In this role, you’ll also develop ETL processes and data pipelines, perform in-depth data analysis, and create API endpoints to ensure seamless data delivery across Sales Pricing applications.
Job Description
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Implement business requirements in SQL Server using T-SQL programming
- Develop, test, and maintain stored procedures, functions, views, and triggers in SQL Server
- Design efficient data models to enhance existing database schemas
- Analyze query performance, create indexes and rewrite queries to improve execution times by 30% or more
- Build and maintain ETL processes using SSIS, Talend, or custom scripts to ingest data from diverse sources
- Troubleshoot production issues with root-cause analysis and implement long-term fixes
- Perform Data Analysis, Data Pulls, create Data sources for BI Tools, based on Business requirements
- Optimize database performance, enforce data quality, and uphold governance standards
- Monitoring and Supporting Data Pipeline Jobs through Visual Cron/ SQL Server Agent
- Automating data processing tasks and workflows.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field. Or equivalent work experience with desired systems and technologies.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in T-SQL Programming
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with at least one dialect (T-SQL, PL/SQL, MySQL)
- Ability to develop and maintain stored procedures, functions, views, and triggers
- Experience optimizing queries and creating indexes to improve execution times
- Familiarity with ETL concepts and tools (SSIS, Talend, custom scripting)
The Anticipated Salary Range For This Position
$96,200.00 - $144,560.00 Annual
The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s location, education, experience, skills, and abilities. This role is bonus and/or incentive eligible. Medline will not pay less than the applicable minimum wage or salary threshold.
