Role: Release Train Engineer (RTE) – SAFe Agile

Location: Remote / Hybrid


Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Release Train Engineer (RTE) or Chief Scrum Master to lead and coordinate multiple Scrum teams within a SAFe Agile framework. The role is closer to senior project/program management, with a strong focus on delivery, alignment, and execution across teams working on regulated products.


You will play a key role in bringing together several Scrum teams to deliver complex, compliance-

driven projects, ensuring timelines, dependencies, and regulatory requirements are met.


Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the Release Train Engineer (RTE) for multiple Scrum teams operating within SAFe Agile
  • Coordinate and align teams working across a shared program or release train
  • Drive end-to-end delivery and ensure teams follow through on agreed deliverables
  • Manage dependencies, risks, and timelines across multiple workstreams
  • Support planning, execution, and delivery in regulatory-driven environments
  • Work closely with engineering, product, quality, and compliance stakeholders
  • Enable effective collaboration across teams that may have previously worked in smaller or independent setups


Required Experience

  • Proven experience working as a Release Train Engineer (RTE) or in a senior Agile delivery / program management role
  • Strong understanding and hands-on experience with SAFe Agile practices
  • Experience coordinating multiple Scrum teams within a single program or release
  • Background in regulated industries,
  • Experience working with embedded systems teams (e.g., robotics, embedded platforms)


Important Note on Fit

  • Experience with embedded and hardware-adjacent teams is essential for success in this role


Nice to Have

  • SAFe Agile certifications (RTE, SPC, or equivalent)
  • Experience scaling Agile practices in growing or evolving team structures
