Tasks

If you are excited about how AI can have a positive impact on the world through the provision of relevant, safe, trustworthy, and accurate responses then we have the role for you.

• Evaluate LLM outputs and prompt-output pairings across quality dimensions such as relevance, accuracy, and safety
• Identify and design evaluation frameworks and metrics
• Implement automated quality checks to flag problematic responses
• Test how AI agents handle different scenarios: simple tasks, complex multi-step tasks, and error situations
• Set up first versions of an end-to-end feedback pipeline to simplify evaluation of agentic AI use cases

Requirements

We are looking for a self-driven, highly motivated AI engineer to join our team in Basel. The successful candidate has a software engineering background with a desire to jump into the world of AI. We are offering an exciting opportunity to help introduce AI into one of our key applications.

• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, AI, Data Science, or related field (must have completed at least three semesters)
• Very good spoken and written English skills
• Curious about AI and interested in learning how to evaluate AI systems
• Comfortable with C#, Python and analysing data
• Familiarity with Microsoft Azure
• Good organizational skills with an attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and ask questions when stuck
• Enthusiasm for learning new tools and methodologies
