Role Overview

As an Investment Banking Analyst in our Zurich team, you will play a critical role in executing live transactions and supporting new business development. You will work closely with Associates, Vice Presidents, and Managing Directors, contributing to all stages of deal processes across a variety of industries, with a particular focus on Swiss, DACH, and European clients.


Key Responsibilities

  • Transaction Execution: Assist in the preparation of financial models, valuation analyses, and pitch materials for M&A, debt, and equity transactions.
  • Client Support: Participate in drafting client presentations and documentation for strategic advisory mandates.
  • Research & Analysis: Conduct extensive industry, company, and market research to support transaction strategies.
  • Financial Modelling: Build and maintain complex models including DCF, LBO, merger models, and comparables analysis.
  • Coordination: Work closely with cross‑border Jefferies teams to ensure seamless execution of global mandates.
  • Due Diligence: Support due diligence processes by coordinating data requests, reviewing documentation, and liaising with advisors.


Qualifications & Skills

  • Undergraduate or graduate degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Engineering, Mathematics or related discipline.
  • Strong academic performance and financial acumen.
  • Proficiency in financial modelling, valuation techniques, and Microsoft Excel/PowerPoint.
  • Excellent analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
  • Fluent in English; proficiency in German (and/or French) highly desirable for Zurich client coverage.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced and demanding environment.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organisational skills, and work ethic.
