We are URGENTLY recruiting 2 x Java Integration Developers for a large enterprise transformation program. These are 6-month contracts with strong extension potential, starting in January. Roles are based on the East Coast of Australia or can be worked from New Zealand with hybrid / remote options.

Key Responsibilities

Design and build high-performance integrations using SAP Cloud Integration (CPI) to expose SAP data to downstream systems
Develop Java (Spring Boot) microservices supporting a Reference Data Layer for external digital platforms
Implement event-driven architectures using AWS MSK (Apache Kafka)
Design and document RESTful APIs and OData services between SAP and external systems
Manage source control and CI/CD pipelines using GitHub
Write unit and integration tests to ensure data integrity and system resilience

Essential skills & experience

Strong Java development experience using Spring Boot
Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka or AWS MSK
Experience working with AWS cloud services (ECS/EKS, Lambda, RDS)
Proven experience with SAP CPI / HCI or SAP PI/PO, including Groovy scripting
Strong GitHub experience (branching, PRs, code reviews)

Desirable skills & experience

Docker and Kubernetes
NoSQL databases (MongoDB, DynamoDB) or PostgreSQL
SAP ECC or S/4HANA Master Data (Customer, Vendor, Material)
Monitoring and observability tools (Splunk, Datadog, CloudWatch)

Key Attributes

Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Collaborative team player across SAP, cloud, and digital teams
Proactive problem solver in distributed systems
Comfortable working in hybrid legacy + cloud environments
