About the Position
We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join a high-impact team within a leading financial client. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional with a strong background in platform infrastructure, cloud technologies, and DevOps practices. You will be responsible for developing scalable, reliable, and secure software solutions that drive innovation and business growth. The role involves modernizing legacy systems, enhancing infrastructure, and promoting engineering excellence across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain highly available, scalable, and fault-tolerant platforms for running production applications.
- Bridge the gap between development and operations, delivering solutions that support both business objectives and technical excellence.
- Develop reusable DevOps patterns and best practices for continuous delivery, infrastructure strategy, build/release processes, and information security.
- Implement and promote modern DevSecOps principles and practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize customer experience, performance, and operational efficiency.
- Standardize infrastructure and deployment platforms to enable high-velocity development.
- Contribute to the full software development lifecycle including system design, documentation, testing, and code reviews.
- Mentor team members and foster a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence.
- Drive the adoption of modern tools and processes across engineering teams.
- Partner with stakeholders to ensure technical feasibility and architectural soundness of new and existing solutions.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience with IaC frameworks (Azure Bicep, CloudFormation, or Terraform).
- 6+ years working in public cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure) with deep knowledge of availability, scalability, and security.
- 4+ years working with Docker and Kubernetes (EKS, GCP, or AKS); Helm experience is a plus.
- 4+ years of Unix/Linux system administration and scripting.
- Strong programming skills in Python, C#, C/C++, Java, Go, or similar.
- Familiarity with authentication technologies including LDAP, Active Directory, and SAML.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience working in Agile environments with project management tools.
Nice To Have
- Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible, Salt, Puppet, or Chef.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, Splunk, SumoLogic, NewRelic, DataDog, or CloudWatch.
- Knowledge of CI/CD tools including Jenkins, TravisCI, Gitlab CI, or AWS CodePipeline.
- Experience integrating HashiCorp Vault with Kubernetes for secret management.
- Exposure to logging stacks like EFK and monitoring exporters (e.g., PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch).
- Experience with Hadoop and distributed databases (Hive, Cassandra, Redshift, Snowflake, etc.).
- Collaboration with Networking and Security teams to uphold baseline security standards.
