The Role

The ideal candidate for this PMO position will have solid experience managing software development teams within product development or insurance companies. Expertise in cloud-based delivery and migrating from on-premise systems to the cloud is essential. The role requires someone who understands the software development lifecycle and can work closely with the management team to establish efficient project roadmaps and ensure successful delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Team Leadership: Serve as the main point of contact between the project/engineering team and the Head of Projects
• Manage Cross-Functional Teams: Oversee a team of 20 professionals across engineering, product, and project management, including 5 backend and 4 frontend developers using React.
• Cloud Migration: Experience with migrations from on-premise systems to cloud infrastructure. Experience with SAP Public Cloud, BTP is ideal however if you have strong AWS, or Azure experience that would be ok.
• Agile Methodology: Apply Agile practices, including Scrum and ideally SAFe, to manage sprints, track progress, and drive performance.
• Performance & Quality: Ensure team accountability for quality, performance, and timely delivery. Use tools to visualize progress and help the team adopt company-wide performance standards.
• Roadmap & Project Planning: Work closely with management to define and organize the project roadmap, ensuring smooth integration and delivery across teams.
• CI/CD Pipeline Management: Oversee continuous integration and delivery processes to ensure smooth, efficient software releases.

Ideal Candidate

• Strong background in DevOps or Software Development, with experience managing enterprise delivery projects.
• Experience in InsurTech, FinTech, or HealthTech industries is highly desirable.
• Familiar with cloud-based technologies (SAP Cloud, AWS, Azure) and CI/CD pipelines.
• A performance-driven leader who can inspire and manage a cross-functional team to deliver high-quality, timely results.
