As an Application & Data Engineer, you’ll work closely with business stakeholders such as sales and sales support, to develop and maintain web applications and data products that enable advanced analytics and AI capabilities. You’ll develop and maintain robust data models, ensure data quality and governance, and integrate data from multiple sources to support decision-making and operational efficiency.
As an Application & Data Engineer your task is to write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following best practices and company standards. Collaborate with team members and stay up to date with emerging technologies and contribute to the continuous improvement of our development processes.
You’ll be part of our Energy Sales Development team with expertise in process, application, and data development. Our team plays a vital role in supporting Energy needs and drives the development of sales processes and related applications such as CRM, Sales Configurator and other sales tools, as well as data solutions to power analytics and AI initiatives.
The preferred location for this position is Vaasa, Finland but also other locations in Finland can be considered.
Role and responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain sales tools and databases to ensure reliability and scalability
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to conceptualize and specify solution requirements, including UI design and prototyping
- Translate business requirements into technical solutions and deliverables
- Create and maintain functional specifications, technical designs, and documentation
- Explore and implement solutions for data analytics, Machine Learning, and AI
- Serve as a project resource for selected application development initiatives
- Proven experience in software development
- Proficiency in Python, React, TypeScript
- Knowledge of DevOps tools and practices.
- Familiar with Databricks, Salesforce CRM, Geospatial data is seen as an advantage
- B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in information technology or equivalent knowledge acquired through experience
- Capable of working with various stakeholders to meet their expectations
- Good communication and presentation skills
- Proactive, development-minded, and goal-oriented approach.
- Ability to work independently and meet targets.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Fluency in English, other language skills seen as an advantage
