About BlueThrone

We don鈥檛 just build apps.
We scale indie mobile products into global businesses.

With 80M+ downloads, 20M+ MAU, and $14M ARR - all grown organically - we operate at scale while staying lean and focused. We move fast, think long-term, and take pride in shipping products people genuinely love.

Our team is made up of builders: engineers, product thinkers, and growth experts who care deeply about craft and impact.

The product & your role 馃帶

You鈥檒l be working on a well-established, fast-growing consumer mobile app in the music tech space - a product people actively care about and use every day.

The app helps users deeply understand their listening behavior through clean design, rich insights, and meaningful personal data. It鈥檚 highly interactive, analytics-heavy, and trusted by a global community that expects accuracy, stability, and a polished experience.

This is a hands-on, high-impact QA role. You鈥檒l own product quality end-to-end. You鈥檒l work closely with engineers, designers, and product leads to make sure every release feels reliable, intuitive, and trustworthy.

We're not looking for someone to tick boxes. We want someone who thinks like a product owner and tests like a user who expects the best.

What you鈥檒l be doing
  • Owning quality across mobile and web

  • Designing and running test scenarios that reflect real user behavior

  • Performing regression, smoke, and exploratory testing

  • Validating APIs and integrations to ensure smooth end-to-end flows

  • Identifying edge cases, documenting issues clearly, and following them through

  • Improving testing practices as the product and team scale

  • Collaborating across teams - QA here is part of the build process, not an afterthought

What you'll need to succeed:
  • 5+ years of experience in QA, with a strong focus on mobile testing

  • At least 2 years of hands-on web testing experience

  • Hands-on experience testing complex, consumer-facing mobile apps

  • Experience testing data-heavy and feature-rich products

  • Familiarity with tools like Jira, Postman, Swagger (or similar)

  • A sharp eye for detail, paired with strong prioritization skills

  • An ownership mindset - you don鈥檛 wait to be told what to test

  • You ask great questions, raise flags early, and love clear communication

  • You care about the product, not just the test plan

You鈥檒l thrive here if you:
  • Enjoy ownership without heavy process or bureaucracy

  • Like working closely with teams but also value focused, independent work

  • Can zoom out to see the product as a whole, then zoom in on details

  • See QA as a strategic role, not a support function

  • Want to work on a product with real users, real scale, and real momentum

  • Care deeply about getting things right - and improving them over time
