Systems Engineer
Edge Autonomy Riga is an international company with its main office in the USA, and we are part of the Redwire group. We specialize in the development, manufacturing, and integration of autonomous unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and electro-optical surveillance systems. Our products are widely used in defense, security, civil, and industrial sectors around the world. We are seeking a Systems Engineer to join our growing team and work on the design, development, and integration of advanced systems. You will collaborate closely with electronics, mechanical, software, and aeronautics engineers to deliver reliable and innovative solutions, while also supporting and mentoring junior team members.
Key Responsibilities
Develop system architectures, models, and technical documentation.
Translate high-level requirements into detailed system specifications.
Build and optimize MATLAB/Simulink simulations and perform trade-off studies.
Integrate hardware, software, and subsystems; perform system-level testing and validation.
Develop Python scripts for automation and data analysis.
Participate in SRR, PDR, and CDR design reviews.
Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace, or Systems Engineering.
Experience with MATLAB/Simulink and basic Python scripting.
Solid understanding of systems engineering principles.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Fluent English required; Latvian is a plus but not mandatory.
Additional Advantages
Experience with MBSE and SysML.
Background in aerospace, UAV, or robotics projects.
Experience in technical leadership, coordination, or mentoring.
