Strategic Staffing Solutions International's client is a Nordic bank headquartered in Copenhagen, Denmark, offering a wide range of financial services including retail banking, corporate banking, and asset management.

We are looking for experienced consultant to support Linux and Container Orchestration team. The consultant will work independently and collaborate with stakeholders to develop, maintain, and support Kubernetes-based platforms across AWS (EKS) and OpenShift.

The position is 12 month contract with possibility of extension

Key Responsibilities:

Platform Development & Maintenance

• Build, deploy, and maintain EKS (Elastic Kubernetes Service) platforms on AWS.
• Support, maintain, and optimize OpenShift clusters in both on-premise and cloud environments.
• Implement automation for cluster provisioning, upgrades, scaling, and security.

Migration Activities

• Lead and support OpenShift migrations from on-prem to AWS using MTC (Migration Toolkit for Containers).
• Ensure smooth transition of workloads, data, and platform components.

Operations & Incident Management

• Handle incidents related to EKS and OpenShift platforms in production.
• Perform root cause analysis and provide permanent corrective actions.
• Collaborate with DevOps, Network, and Security teams for issue resolution.

Requirements:

• Level 3 experience: Strong background with several similar assignments/projects; able to work independently and lead small groups.
• In-depth knowledge of Kubernetes architecture and major components (control plane, networking, storage).
• Experience deploying, managing, and troubleshooting Kubernetes clusters at scale.
• Proven experience building and maintaining AWS EKS platforms.
• Proficiency with AWS services and integrations for Kubernetes.
• Experience with automation tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
• Strong Linux administration background.

Nice to Have

• Experience with OpenShift in both on-prem and cloud environments.
• Ability to handle OpenShift migrations to AWS using MTC Tool.
• Experience with:
• CNI plugins
• Logging & monitoring stacks
• Metrics & observability tools
• Kubernetes/OpenShift security operators
