What? [You'll be doing] 👀
As a Lead AI Engineer, you will work at the intersection of technical mastery and strategic leadership. You will act as a hands-on lead in a consultancy context, embedded within client teams while managing a portfolio of accounts and mentoring the next generation of Enjins engineers.
Key responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Lead the AI Engineering team alongside other Leads, fostering a culture of technical excellence and pragmatic innovation
- Project Delivery: Own the end-to-end technical roadmap for client projects, ensuring AI/ML systems are scalable, reliable, and production-ready
- Strategic Advisory: Act as a technical partner for client executives (CTO, CEO, CIO), translating complex AI architectures into clear business value
- Operational Growth: Involve yourself in business-critical decisions regarding team growth, innovation roadmaps, and account management
We are looking for seasoned leaders who thrive on solving "unsolvable" problems with clean, scalable code.
Expertise & Skills 🔧
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience as AI/ML Engineer in a consultancy context, with a proven track record of bringing models to production
- Technical Stack: Deep expertise in Python, SQL, and Git, with hands-on experience in containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and ETL/ELT orchestration
- Cloud & MLOps: Mastery of at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, GCP) and experience spearheading MLOps/LLMOps architectures
- Leadership: Experience in coaching engineers, managing project delivery, and managing client accounts
- Consultative Leader: Comfortable engaging with board-level stakeholders to drive results and define AI strategy
- Pragmatic Engineer: You prioritize "production-ready" over "academic hype" and have a passion for Climate Tech impact
- Communicator: Excellent ability to translate complex technical findings into actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders
- Fluent in English and eligible to work in the Netherlands
