About the role

Cosylab team is searching for a full-stack engineer to primarily focus on developing software systems in web technologies. We are seeking a person who has experience with web technologies and is open to learning and working with other technologies. Since we develop software for control systems used in various scientific devices and institutions, an interest in the scientific or big-physics field will be an advantage.

We understand that our domain is specialized, so don't worry if you're not familiar with our domains' knowledge; we will provide you with the necessary knowledge as you work with us.

Key tasks and responsibilities

• Design and development of software systems.
• Documenting and thoroughly testing own work.
• Analyzing requirements and defining technical specifications together with the client.
• Regular communication with the internal team and the client.

Required skills and experience

• Experience in full-stack development across web frameworks (React, Angular or similar), Python, relational and NoSQL databases, and DevOps fundamentals.
• Basic knowledge of object-oriented programming languages (Java, C++, C#, etc.).
• Familiarity with source control (GIT), CI/CD, code analysis, and other modern programming practices.
• Developed communication skills and an open mind for discussion and team collaboration.
• Ability to work independently.

»Bonus« points if you have

• Interest or experience in the scientific domain (fusion, particle accelerators, etc.).
• Has experience in technologies besides full-stack development.
• Experience in leading software development and engineering projects.
• Experience working with clients.

Education

• B.Sc. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or other related technical disciplines.
• Fluency in spoken and written English.
