ANDROID DEVELOPER - CONTRACT - 3-MONTHS - OUTSIDE IR35 - LONDON

One of my clients is looking for an Android Developer to join their team on a contract basis. The initial contract will be 3-months and is OUTSIDE IR35. The client has an office in London and would like people in the office 1x per week.



Key Responsibilities

  • Full involvement in the complete lifecycle of the Android development stages, from design, testing, fixing and beyond
  • Work towards maintaining the quality, usability and responsiveness of the application
  • Adapt to the fast-paced innovation in the Android development world
  • Collaboration with the wider team & contribute in technical requirements meetings, design discussions

Requirements

  • 2-4 years relevant previous experience in Kotlin development
  • Experience working with large codebases, Android frameworks and an understanding of mobile design frameworks
  • Experience working with traditional XML views and migration to Compose
  • Knowledge of other technologies and tools, for example Ruby, Python, Jenkins, Firebase
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities, capable of identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and requirements.

Desirable

  • Good technical knowledge and ability to explore potential capabilities of a SaaS product
  • Experience with the Android Google Maps SDK
  • Experience developing Gradle plugins
  • Experience with Kotlin Multiplatform
