About the Role
As a Software Engineer, you’ll build and maintain the backend systems that enable autonomous flight. You’ll work with technologies like C++, Rust, ROS, and gRPC, and contribute across the stack when needed.
You’ll collaborate closely with teammates from fields like AI, Systems & Control, and Game Development, in an environment where innovation and autonomy go hand in hand.
What You’ll Do
🔹 Develop and maintain scalable backend logic
🔹 Design and implement service communication via REST, WebSockets, gRPC, and robotics protocols like Mavlink and ROS
🔹 Write high-quality unit and integration tests
🔹 Manage and improve the CI/CD pipeline
🔹 Coach peers through pair programming, code reviews, and team presentations
What We’re Looking For
✔ At least 2/3 years of experience in a software engineering role
✔ Solid understanding of statically typed languages like C++, Java, Scala, C#
✔ Familiarity with software design principles like DRY, KISS, SOLID, and common design patterns
✔ Comfortable working across different layers of the stack
✔ Self-starter mindset with a passion for exploring new tools and frameworks
Nice-to-haves
⭐ Side projects or open-source contributions
⭐ Familiarity with any of the following:
• Frontend: Svelte, TypeScript
• CI/Tooling: GitHub Actions, Docker, Cypress
• Protocols: REST, WebSockets
