Senior Android Developer

We are looking for an experienced Senior Android Developer to join a cross-functional product team and contribute to the development of high-quality, customer-facing mobile applications. The role focuses on building modern, scalable Android solutions using the latest technologies and best practices, with full ownership across the application lifecycle.

As a Senior Android Developer, you will design, develop, and maintain native Android applications using modern frameworks and tools. You will collaborate closely with fellow app developers, backend engineers, UX designers, and agile roles to deliver innovative, reliable, and user-centric solutions. The role includes responsibility from requirements gathering through development, testing, deployment, and continuous improvement.

You will be part of a cross-functional team consisting of Android, iOS, and backend developers. The backend team provides standardized APIs consumed by the mobile applications. The team works closely with a Product Owner, Scrum Master, and UX Designers in an agile setup. Work is carried out through a mix of independent tasks and pair-programming, contributing to connected services within the automotive domain.

• Design and develop native Android applications using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose with a focus on scalability and maintainability
• Take end-to-end ownership of the app lifecycle, from concept and requirements to development, testing, release, and maintenance
• Write and maintain unit tests and UI tests to ensure code quality, stability, and reliability
• Monitor, analyze, and optimize application performance to deliver a smooth user experience
• Fix defects in existing applications and implement new features
• Integrate internal and external libraries, SDKs, and APIs
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers to translate designs into high-quality user interfaces
• Coordinate with backend developers to integrate APIs and data services
• Provide technical guidance and propose strategies to address complex mobile development challenges

• Strong proficiency in Kotlin
• Experience with Jetpack Compose
• Solid understanding of modern Android architecture patterns (MVVM, MVI, Clean Architecture)
• Experience with Android Jetpack components (Navigation, Lifecycle, Room, WorkManager)
• Unit testing experience (e.g., JUnit, Mockito)
