Connexease is a Meta Business Partner and a multi-channel conversational support platform designed for the Customer Care domain. Based in Istanbul, we integrate with WhatsApp, Instagram, Messenger, Trendyol, Hepsiburada, and LiveChat to help brands enhance customer engagement, improve response times, and scale their support operations across MENA and Turkey.

Role Description

As a Mid-Level Backend Developer, you will contribute to building and improving Connexease’s backend services. You’ll work on messaging pipelines, integrations, automation flows, and platform APIs. This role is ideal for someone who is young, agile, fast-learning, and eager to take ownership in a startup environment.

What You Will Do

• Develop and maintain Connexease backend services and platform APIs.
• Improve and extend our Django-based messaging core.
• Contribute to background processing pipelines (Celery, queues, event-driven flows).
• Optimize Postgres schemas, queries, and indexing when needed.
• Implement reliable integration flows and handle retries.
• Ensure code quality through testing (unittest).
• Produce clear documentation for new features and architectural changes.
• Participate in code reviews and follow engineering best practices.

Must-Have Qualifications

• 3–5 years of backend development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Python and Django (or similar frameworks).
• Solid understanding of PostgreSQL (queries, schema basics, indexing).
• Experience working in startup or fast-paced environments.
• Strong willingness to learn quickly and adapt.
• Experience writing tests and working with CI/CD processes.
• Basic familiarity with Redis or similar caching stores.
• Understanding of RESTful APIs and HTTP fundamentals.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Go or interest in learning it.
• Knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, Cloud Build).
• Experience with business messaging platforms (WhatsApp Business API, IG Messaging, webhooks)
• Familiarity with Celery, event-driven architecture, or message brokers.
• Experience with time-series or analytics pipelines is a bonus.
• Prior experience in SaaS, customer communication tools, or automation platforms.
