We are looking for an experienced data nerd with a passion for all things numerical. This is an opportunity to work on end-to-end data science tasks, while gaining exposure to the data engineering side as well.

What You Will Be Doing
The Data Scientist will be responsible for the following:

What You Will Be Doing
The Data Scientist will be responsible for the following:
- Partner with Product and Operations to translate business problems into analytical projects, define success metrics, and run experiments (e.g. A/B tests).
- Build, Maintain and Optimise GetGo’s Lakehouse, Data Acquisition and Data Pipelines on Databricks.
- Implement Data Governance initiatives to improve Data Quality and Integrity.
- Streamline data flows and models; improve consistency, quality, accessibility, and security; and, optimise database activity across company needs.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders (business analytics, marketing teams etc.) to specify data requirements and develop data marts and feature stores to support data insights to meet company OKRs.
- Understand and implement distributed relational and tabular data stores, message queues, stream processing facilities, and other scalable big-data platform technologies.
- Design, build, and deploy predictive models (e.g. demand forecasting, pricing, fraud, churn) and measure their business impact on key metrics.
- 3 Years of Data Science experience in any relevant industry.
- Experience with cloud tools and Big Data technologies like Spark and Hive.
- Experience with Databricks preferred.
- Excellent understanding and curiosity in the areas of data science and machine learning frameworks, tools, and algorithms, both for regression and classification problems.
- Strong technical capabilities and proven expertise in developing and implementing a full range of analytical techniques to address commercial challenges.
- Must have knowledge and skills in Python, SQL, PySpark, Analysis and Data Visualisation.
- Good to have knowledge and skills in JavaScript, QGIS, AWS, GeoSpatial
