About the Role: As a Senior Backend Developer at OneSeven, you will be required to set up CI/CD, servers, install and set up sentry, betterstack and other monitoring tools we use etc. You will make sure to regularly provide and update documentation and unit tests for QA. You will follow OST development procedures, for example: pull requests, setting up 3 environments, branch naming, time tracking on ClickUp Tickets etc. Based on project requirements you'll identify and fix software bugs to ensure a seamless user experience, collaborate closely with other members for smooth integration and contribute to the development of new features based on project requirements.
Onboarding: If you are located in Buenos Aires we would like you to come to the office 2 times a week. If you are outside or located in another country we will do the onboarding over video call. The onboarding process will be short and we will expect you to be able to contribute to projects quickly after starting your position.

OST's Headquarters is in Miami, Florida, but our employees work remotely worldwide. Our 3 main locations are Miami, Mexico City, Mexico, and Buenos Aires, Argentina. We are looking for talented software experts to join our team near one of our three locations.

Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience working as Backend Developer
- Intermediate English level (important)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Able to work 9am -5pm EST
- You will need to provide your own workspace with reliable Internet service
- You are passionate about the startup environment and eager to learn.
- Strong mentoring skills and leadership skills. Ability to lead and instruct teams.
- Ability to quickly adapt, learn, and solve problems
- Team player, willing to jump outside of their role to help the greater team.
- Ability to research as you work
- Ability to be accountable for your own time in a fully remote environment
- The desire to contribute to a growing, dynamic team and help shape process, practice, and operations
- Agile + Scrum Methodology knowledge
- You have a keen eye for detail and excel in documentation.
- You are highly organized and proficient in task management.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Experience working in the backend with Javascript. Preferably With NestJS
- Experience with version control systems.
- Knowledge of web security best practices.
- Knowledge of modern authorization mechanisms, such as JSON Web Token
- Experience with typescript.
- Experience with relational databases (Postgres is preferred).
- Experience working with Docker.
- Experience with Terraform.
- Experience with unit testing.
- Experience with CI/CD.
- Experience with cloud providers (AWS preferred )
- Experience with Serverless
- Knowledge of other languages: Ruby, .NET / NET Core, Java
- Fully Remote Position
- Contract-based employment with US company
- Starting at $3,000 - $4,000 depending on qualifications and experience
- There are currently NO formal benefits packages available (health insurance, retirement plans).
- Paid Vacation Time and Sick Days
- Fixed working hours 9am-5pm EST time. Monday-Friday
