I have a brand new contracting opportunity with a financial services client of mine based in Dublin. This role is a hybrid and day rate contracting opportunity, with a requirement to be onsite 1 full week per month (3 weeks fully remote from Ireland).
Skills required:
- 6+ years of overall industry experience in software development, including work with Python, Node.js, or Java, with a strong focus on SDLC processes and automation.
- 2+ years of experience in cloud development and migration, specifically within AWS
- 1–3 years of hands-on experience with containerization (Kubernetes) and serverless technologies such as AWS Lambda, SQS, DynamoDB, and S3.
- Solid understanding of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles, with practical experience in designing scalable and reliable software systems.
- Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code tools, including Terraform and AWS CloudFormation templates.
- Practical experience in implementing CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins Core.
- Strong scripting skills in PowerShell or Bash for Unix environments.
- Working knowledge of Linux system administration, networking fundamentals, and load balancing.
