Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled PMO Manager with a strong background in Cyber Security to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive project management experience, particularly in cyber security projects such as Managed Detection and Response (MDR) and other managed services. You will be responsible for overseeing the Project Management Office (PMO) within our Cyber Security department, ensuring the successful delivery of projects, adherence to processes, and continuous improvement in project execution.



Key Responsibilities:


PMO Leadership:

  • Lead and manage the Cyber Security PMO, providing oversight and support to project managers.
  • Develop and implement PMO policies, standards, and methodologies to ensure effective project execution and alignment with business goals.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, ensuring the PMO remains adaptable and responsive to the evolving needs of the business.


Project Management:

  • Oversee the successful delivery of a portfolio of cyber security projects, including MDR and other managed services.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget while meeting quality standards.
  • Monitor project performance, identifying and mitigating risks and issues as they arise.
  • Provide guidance and support to project managers, ensuring they have the necessary resources and tools to succeed.


Process Development and Implementation:

  • Design, implement, and maintain robust project management processes that align with industry best practices and organisational goals.
  • Ensure all project management processes are well-documented, communicated, and adhered to by the project teams.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.


Stakeholder Management:

  • Collaborate with senior management, project sponsors, and other stakeholders to ensure clear communication and alignment of project goals.
  • Act as the main point of contact between the Cyber Security department and other business units for project-related activities.
  • Facilitate regular status meetings and reporting to ensure stakeholders are informed of project progress.


Resource Management:

  • Manage the allocation of resources across the project portfolio, ensuring optimal utilisation and balancing competing priorities.
  • Support the development and career growth of project managers and other team members within the PMO.


Compliance and Governance:

  • Ensure all projects comply with relevant regulatory, legal, and security requirements.
  • Implement and monitor governance frameworks to ensure the integrity of the project management process and outcomes.


Qualifications and Experience


Essential:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Cyber Security, Information Technology, Business Administration).
  • Extensive experience in project management, specifically within the Cyber Security domain.
  • Proven experience managing cyber security projects, including MDR and managed services.
  • Strong understanding of cyber security principles, threats, and technologies.
  • Demonstrable experience in developing and implementing project management processes and methodologies.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Highly process-oriented with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software (e.g., MS Project, Jira, etc.).


Desirable:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or PRINCE2 certification.
  • Cyber Security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or equivalent.
  • Experience working in a regulated industry (e.g., finance, healthcare).
  • Knowledge of GDPR and other relevant regulatory frameworks in the UK and Ireland.
