Product Manager – AOI Systems
Job Description: We are looking for a Product Manager with a strong industrial background and experience in delivering complex products combining hardware, firmware, and software. Experience in the AOI or industrial inspection domain is highly valued.
The Product Manager will be part of the PMO and will work closely with the Project Manager and cross-functional teams. While the Product Roadmap is owned by the Head of R&D and Program Strategy, the Product Manager will play a key role in gathering, structuring, and consolidating all product-related information to support its definition and execution.
This role is based at our headquarters in Mendrisio. The ideal candidate will bring a patient, organized, and problem-solving approach to their work and must have prior experience in a similar field.
Key Responsabilities:
- Collect and consolidate product requirements from the Product Owner, Sales Managers, customers, and internal stakeholders.
- Support the Head of R&D and Program Strategy in defining priorities for the Product Roadmap.
- Prepare product requirements, functional specifications, user stories, and epics in collaboration with the Project Manager to ensure alignment with project timelines and milestones.
- Work closely with hardware, firmware, and software teams to ensure product consistency and proper integration.
- Support backlog prioritization activities with the Product Owner and the Project Manager.
- Contribute to functional validation of product releases in collaboration with QA and testing teams.
- Prepare product documentation, internal technical material, and feature presentations.
- Support Sales and Pre-Sales teams in understanding and communicating product features.
- Participate actively in PMO processes, contributing to continuous improvement of requirement management and development workflows.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (Electronics, Mechatronics, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering) or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience in Product Management within industrial, automation, or embedded-system environments.
- Proven experience in products combining hardware, firmware, and software components.
- Solid experience in requirement gathering, analysis, and documentation.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools such as Jira and Confluence.
- Strong command of English (B2 level or above).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in AOI systems or industrial machine vision.
- Understanding of embedded architectures and distributed systems.
- Knowledge of HMI/UX principles for industrial interfaces.
- Prior experience working within a PMO structure.
