System Verification Engineer

Are you an experienced Verification Engineer with a passion for system-level testing, connectivity, and Linux-based environments? Do you enjoy hands-on verification work and taking ownership of end-to-end functionality in complex embedded systems? Then this could be your next assignment.

ALTEN is now looking for a Senior Verification Engineer to join one of our major clients within the automotive industry. You will be part of the Service Platform Verification team working with connectivity products and services in an upcoming vehicle platform. The assignment is based in Gothenburg and involves close collaboration within a Scrum team.

About the role

In this role, you will work with full system verification of telematics products and services, both on test rigs and vehicles. The work is primarily focused on manual testing, combined with some automation, integration activities, and simulation development.

You will contribute to developing and improving test methods and environments, perform exploratory testing, and verify functionality on system level. You will also take responsibility as Verification Function Owner for a number of end-to-end (E2E) functions, ensuring quality, robustness, and readiness of delivered solutions.

Main responsibilities

• Perform verification on full system level and/or embedded software
• Develop, execute, and improve test methods and verification strategies
• Carry out exploratory testing of telematics products and connectivity services
• Work hands-on with test rigs and contribute to improvements of the test environment
• Develop simulations to support verification activities
• Document test methods, results, and verification status
• Act as Verification Function Owner for selected E2E functions

Your profile

You are a structured and analytical engineer who enjoys hands-on verification work and system-level problem solving. You are comfortable working in agile teams, take ownership of your tasks, and communicate clearly with stakeholders across different disciplines.

We see that you have:

• Experience from verification work in embedded systems
• Experience with Linux OS in a testing or verification context
• Familiarity with verification toolchains, such as Vector CAN tools and CANoe
• Experience working in Scrum or agile development environments
• Very good communication skills in English, both written and spoken

Meritorious experience

It is considered a strong advantage if you also have experience with:

• Verification of centralized high-performance ECUs
• Connectivity and software update domains within automotive
• Telematics or Infotainment systems
• Developing simulations in CANoe
• Automation frameworks such as Robot Framework
• CI/CD tools such as Jenkins
• Jira and other requirement or test management tools
• SE-Tool, Protus, or SW configurators
• Truck driving license
