Commercial Banking Tribe Domain

You’ll be joining the Commercial Bank Tribe, who is focusing on the special needs of the small and medium enterprise clients in Germany, a designated area for further growth and investment within Corporate Bank.

We are responsible for the digital transformation of :800.000 clients in 3 brands, i.e. the establishment of the BizBanking platform including development of digital sales and service processes as well as the automation of processes for this client segment.

Our tribe domain is on a journey of an extensive digitalisation of business processes and to migrate our applications to the cloud. On that we are working jointly together with our business colleagues in an agile setup and collaborating closely with stakeholders and engineers from other areas thriving to achieve a highly automated and adoptable process and application landscape.

As a Senior Backend Engineer (m/f/x) you will be working in one of our Squads in the Sales Tribe, designing and implementing features for our digital sales processes for our small and medium sized businesses.

Your Key Responsibilities

• You implement features for our digital sales processes for small and medium corporates within Deutsche Bank.
• You design, develop and document microservice-based & Cloud-native application components which fulfil business requirements as well as technical requirements like observability, scalability, and stability/resilience.
• You write clear, maintainable, and reusable code and take part in code reviews to ensure that features are developed at high quality standards.
• You actively involve in technical discussions and architecture decisions within the team and other stakeholders, designing sustainable solutions which fulfill both the business and the technical requirements.
• You are working in a cross disciplined agile team with shared responsibility and high autonomy and actively engage in the engineering community, share your knowledge, and build up a solid network.
  
  
  

Your Skills And Experiences

• University degree with technological or scientific focus or equivalent working experience.
• Proficiency in Java, Spring framework, APIs (RESTful services), databases. Experience in Kotlin, JavaScript, Node.js, Typescript, Angular JS is a plus.
• Extensive experience in micro service design, understanding of SOLID principles and common architectural patterns.
• Very good and hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker and GCP (alternatively Azure or AWS).
• Familiar with agile work, good team player and willing to learn and share knowledge in a highly motivated team. Fluent in English both verbal and written.
