Junior Data Developer and Senior/Post doctoral researcher

Two new and exciting positions are open at The Peace Research Institute Oslo (PRIO)

PRIO is pleased to announce two new positions, with a deadline of 15 January 2026, to join Research Professor Håvard Hegre's projects and team.

The first position is for a Junior Data Developer with an interest in data-driven social science research. It is a 1-year full-time contract in connection with the project “The Uncertainty of Forecasting Fatalities in Armed Conflict (UFFAC)”, funded by the Research Council of Norway. The second position is for a senior researcher or a postdoctoral researcher in methodological research on forecasting of armed conflict and its impacts, funded by the ERC Advanced Grant “Anticipating the impact of armed conflict on human development” (ANTICIPATE). Please check out the qualifications and skills required here: https://www.prio.org/about/careers/32
