We are looking for a User Experience Designer to join our Neat design team creating award winning video devices and experiences for companies and organisations all over the world. Our goal is to constantly lessen the divide between the physical and digital, helping people meet and collaborate simply and meaningfully whether they are together or apart.

The role requires an analytical approach and discerned ability to translate complex user and business challenges into useful and daringly simple design solutions. If you are a passionate problem-solver, who loves drilling down to the essence of things and jump between big picture and small details, you will be a great fit. You will work in a fast-paced environment across several projects, be trusted with responsibilities, and expected to promote a constructive environment for creative exploration and designs to become real.

The role is located in Fornebu, Oslo, which is the base of the team and cross disciplinary collaboration, with home office flexibility.

What You Will Do

• Create valuable and high quality user experiences from concept to specifications and finished solutions in the areas: hardware user experiences and embedded applications, cloud service platforms and web based experiences.
• Identify user needs, and help define project approach.
• Work closely with other UX designers, visual designers, industrial designers, hardware and software engineers in the process of building the right user experiences.
• Understand our customers and users across the world, and bring their perspective into multidisciplinary collaboration.
• Contribute to our design process and principles, and help coordinate design work.
• Contribute to ensuring consistent, simple and Neat user journeys and experiences.

Who You Will Work With

You will be a part of a highly experienced design team of doers and dreamers who aren’t afraid to challenge, and we work closely with software developers and product managers in our Oslo office and remotely.

Required Qualifications

• Relevant education (bachelor or higher) in ux/interaction design or related field.
• Experience with ux/interaction design for mobile/desktop applications, SAAS experiences or embedded system applications.
• Can demonstrate end-to-end thinking from insight to concept, specifications and finished solution.
• Proficient in tools such as Figma (our primary tool), Sketch, Adobe suite, etc.
• Professional experience working on user interface design projects in multidisciplinary teams.
• Fluent in English.
