This role is hybrid and requires you to be at our client office at a minimum 2 days per week - subject to change at any time.
The Scrum Master is an experienced practitioner in Scrum and other agile methodologies who provides insight and advice concerning delivery practices. The Scrum Master will guide the team on how to use agile methods, and will coach the team on continuous improvement and self-organization. The Scrum Master collaborates closely with the Product Owner to maintain and prioritize the Product Backlog according to business value, and is responsible for the delivery of project artifacts.
Your future duties and responsibilities
- Being able to carry out the responsibilities of a consultant but with a larger size or more complexity or manage several teams at the same time.
- Exposure as a SM in a large Agile multi-team environment / Structure
- As a Scrum Master you will ensure the team enacts the agile principles, values and framework
- Provide support to teams using a servant leadership style
- Coach the development team and help lead and insure the ""agile mindset"" is fully adopted and understood Agile Mindset, Growth Mindset: Setbacks and failures are part of the game when trying new ideas and conducting experiments. The Scrum Master must teach the team to accept failures and encourage them to keep learning from the experiments.
- Adapting Agile Mindset sets the Scrum Master in a position to be able to help the Scrum Team
- Inculcate core agile values of focus, commitment, respect, openness and courage into the team's ground rules through leading by example
- Assess and coach the team to higher levels of performance, tracking acceleration metrics
- Guide the development team on how to integrate agile ceremonies and values into daily work.
- Implement and promote use of agile methodology within the team:
- Facilitate agile ceremonies including iteration planning, iteration review, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups
- Create a forum for discussing vision, goals, and Product Backlog items amongst the team
- Apply techniques for effective workflow visualization and management (e.g. Kanban or Scrum Boards)
- Develop and nurture strong partnering relationships with Product Owner/Business Sponsor and stakeholders and Contribute to building organizational capability and expertise on agile adoption
- Skill in using Jira, Confluence, other analytical software tools, data analysis methods and reporting techniques
- Minimum 5+ years of experience working as a Scrum Master in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Proven experience facilitating Scrum ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives).
- Strong understanding of Agile principles and Scrum frameworks, with hands-on experience supporting cross-functional teams.
- Experience removing impediments, coaching teams, and driving continuous improvement.

Recognized Advanced Scrum Master Certificate
**CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $95,000–$145,000. This role is an existing vacancy.**
