We’re partnering with an Financial Services organization that’s expanding a core engineering team to support the rebuild of a high-impact web application. This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys working on greenfield-style development while modernizing existing platforms using current technologies.

You’ll be joining a small, focused team responsible for delivering a long-term solution and evolving it over time. This is a hands-on engineering role with meaningful ownership and influence over technical direction.

What You’ll Work On

• Designing and rebuilding a web application using a modern full-stack architecture
• Developing user-facing features with React
• Implementing backend services using Java
• Building and deploying applications in AWS environments
• Contributing to system design, code quality, and performance improvements
• Collaborating with product, architecture, and delivery partners across teams

Technical Requirements

• 4–7 years of professional software development experience
• Strong hands-on experience with Java and React.js
• Experience working in AWS (deployments, CI/CD pipelines, cloud services)
• Background building and supporting web-based applications
• Experience refactoring, modernizing, or rebuilding existing systems
• Ability to work effectively across distributed and cross-functional teams

Nice to Have

• Experience owning or supporting an application long term
• Exposure to microservices or cloud-native architectures
• Familiarity working alongside DevOps or infrastructure teams
