Job Purpose


To drive the growth and profitability of the Bank’s Trade Finance portfolio by delivering Trade services and tailored transaction banking solutions. This role focuses on maximizing Trade fee-based revenue, championing Trade digitization, and deepening client relationships, all while ensuring strict adherence to regulatory frameworks and risk policies.


Key Tasks and Duties


Revenue Generation: Drive fee income growth across core trade products (Letters of Credit, Guarantees, Collections) and maximize portfolio utilization within approved limits.


Pipeline Management: Identify and pursue new business opportunities within target markets to expand the bank’s trade finance footprint.


Client Relationship Management: Cultivate strong, long-term relationships with key stakeholders to ensure client retention and satisfaction.


Solution Design: Tailor bespoke structured trade finance solutions that align with the client’s working capital cycles and business requirements.


Digital Adoption: Champion the bank’s digitization agenda by onboarding clients to online trade channels.


Portfolio Management & Collaboration: Oversee the end-to-end execution of trade transactions, collaborating with Risk, Operations, and Compliance to facilitate timely approvals.


Product Enhancement: Contribute to the development of new products and the streamlining of processes to enhance operational efficiency and competitive advantage.


Cross-Selling: Actively identify opportunities to cross-sell wider Transaction Banking products, including Cash Management, Payments, and Collections solutions, to the existing trade client base.


Regulatory Adherence: Ensure full compliance with Trade-Based Money Laundering (TBML) frameworks, and internal control policies to mitigate operational and regulatory risk.


A minimum of 7 years of work experience in Trade Finance or Corporate Banking relationship role with a good command of trade products and reasonable understanding of Risk management and compliance requirements.
