About The Role
We are looking for a motivated and skilled DevOps Engineer to join our growing engineering team. This is a fully remote role within the UK, offering the opportunity to work on scalable, secure, and highly available systems. The role is open to candidates ranging from early-career to highly experienced professionals, with responsibilities aligned to experience level.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test, and deployment
- Manage and optimise cloud infrastructure for performance, reliability, and cost
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using modern tooling
- Deploy, manage, and scale containerised applications
- Monitor system health, performance, and availability; respond to incidents and alerts
- Collaborate with development, QA, and security teams to support the full software lifecycle
- Implement security best practices and contribute to DevSecOps initiatives
- Create and maintain technical documentation and runbooks
- Participate in on-call support as required (experience-dependent)
- Strong understanding of Linux/Unix systems
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Proficiency with Git and version control workflows
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps)
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or equivalent)
- Familiarity with containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals (DNS, load balancing, TCP/IP)
- Scripting experience in Bash, Python, or similar
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Kubernetes administration and Helm
- Configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef)
- Monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK)
- Security tooling and practices (Vault, IAM, vulnerability scanning)
- GitOps tools (Argo CD, Flux)
- Experience with microservices and distributed systems
- Exposure to SRE practices and reliability engineering
