Location: Northampton (Hybrid Working Available)

Salary: £30,000–£45,000 (depending on experience)

The Opportunity


An established and growing project management consultancy based in Northampton is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support the delivery of care home and healthcare projects across the Midlands and wider UK.


This role offers excellent exposure across the full project lifecycle and is ideal for someone looking to build a long-term career in project management within a supportive, development-focused environment.


You will work closely with experienced Project Managers, gaining hands-on responsibility and structured support to progress into a full Project Manager role over time.


Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting Project Managers in the delivery of care home and healthcare projects
  • Assisting with project programmes, risk registers, reports and client documentation
  • Attending project and design team meetings, taking minutes and tracking actions
  • Supporting cost, quality and programme control across multiple projects
  • Assisting with procurement activities and contractor coordination
  • Maintaining clear communication with clients, consultants and contractors
  • Supporting projects from pre-construction through to completion and handover


About You

  • 1–4 years’ experience in a construction or consultancy environment
  • Background in Project Management, Assistant PM, Quantity Surveying, Building Surveying or similar
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Keen to learn, develop and take on increased responsibility
  • Comfortable working in a client-facing role
  • Ambition to progress into a full Project Manager position
