Business Analyst

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support a major Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) initiative within a large public-sector environment. This contract role will play a key part in asset data readiness and business case development for an EAM solution intended to manage a diverse asset portfolio including fleet, buildings, plant and equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Support asset data readiness activities for an Enterprise Asset Management solution
• Develop data specifications, data collection strategies and remediation plans
• Identify and document process improvement opportunities related to asset data management
• Assist with the selection and implementation of asset data capture toolsets
• Facilitate and monitor field and system-based data collection activities
• Support the development of design specifications and statements of work
• Develop, execute and report on test cases and UAT outcomes
• Undertake stakeholder mapping, engagement and ongoing stakeholder management
• Build and maintain strong working relationships across business, ICT and external partners
• Contribute to a collaborative project culture through effective communication and knowledge sharing

Highly desirable criteria

• Demonstrated experience working on Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) initiatives
• Hands-on experience with ServiceNow EAM or similar asset management platforms
• Strong understanding of asset management frameworks and their role in defining enterprise solutions
• Proven experience in asset data readiness, cleansing and remediation activities

Desirable criteria

• Experience working within a government or public-sector environment
• Exposure to finance and supply chain systems and their integration with asset management solutions
• Experience supporting business case development for large ICT programs

Skills and experience

• Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Business Analyst working with complex ICT systems and diverse stakeholders
• Experience preparing data specifications, design documentation and statements of work
• Strong understanding of asset master data, reference data, maintenance schedules and standard jobs
• Proven experience facilitating UAT and test activities
• Experience working with asset classes such as fleet, buildings, plant and equipment
• Strong data manipulation skills using tools such as Excel, SQL Studio and Power BI
• Highly developed stakeholder engagement, consultation and negotiation skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders at all organisational levels
• Experience producing high-quality project artefacts including business requirements, data specifications and test cases
