Your opportunity
As a Senior Software Developer (AO6) in our Frontline IT Solutions and Services Branch within the Information and Technology Division, you will play a key role in the organisation by bringing your expertise in software design, development, and technical leadership to QFD.
The Fire and Rescue IT Solutions team is responsible for providing contemporary and innovative technology solutions and services to meet the operational needs of the fire and rescue capability and the volunteers that are a critical element of providing coverage across Queensland. The Software Development team plans, designs, builds, tests and releases new software applications that are fit for purpose technology solutions, ensuring that corporate technology is aligned to operational needs and support maximum adoption of digital solutions and services.
Based in Albion, 4010, you'll use your technical expertise in Java, Oracle, AWS DevOps, and Agile methodologies to deliver innovative and fit-for-purpose software solutions that support QFD's critical operations.
What you'll bring
We Want To Hear From You If You
- Have experience in one or more of the following technical specialties: Java language, Java Server Pages, HTML, JavaScript, Cascading Style Sheets, Spring Projects, and ORM frameworks.
- Possess database development skills with Oracle, Structured Query Language (SQL), and Procedural Language/SQL.
- Are knowledgeable about Agile practices, PRINCE2, or Agile software development methods.
- Have experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) DevOps.
- Hold a degree in Information Technology or Computer Science (highly regarded).
