The purpose of the AO6 Senior Application Developer is to perform professional duties including system development, requirements gathering, unit testing and application support in line with defined Systems Development Lifecycle (SDLC) governance frameworks.
Accountabilities Include But Are Not Limited To
- Enhance TMR's information architecture and application development by offering technical advice for informed management decisions.
- Conduct comprehensive systems analysis, design, coding, testing, and support activities to meet TMR's business requirements.
- Foster IT best practices within TMR through mentoring, reviewing standards, and improving system development techniques.
- Support quality improvement initiatives within the Registration and Licensing domain.
- Engage in knowledge sharing and mentorship, supporting the Principal Lead Analyst in managing a large development team's daily operation.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in programming languages relevant to the department's technology stack, such as Java Server Faces 2 (JSF2), Java 2 Platform Enterprise Edition (J2EE), Primefaces and processing XML files using java. Experience in WebSphere Application Server, Maven Build System, Nexus, Oracle database.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to gather and analyse requirements effectively to ensure a clear understanding of business needs. Strong problem-solving skills to research, recommend, and develop solutions. Capacity to objectively evaluate and promote the optimisation of information architecture.
- Interpersonal Skills: Capable of working collaboratively with a diverse team and stakeholders. Supporting the Principal Lead Analyst in the developments team daily operations. Excellent communication skills to provide technical advice, reports, and coach other technical staff.
