Tech for Good | High-Impact Mobile Product

I’m partnering with a purpose-led technology company that’s using mobile software to support people in moments that genuinely matter. Their platform blends real-time technology with human expertise to help organisations create safer, healthier environments and is already operating at a meaningful scale.

They’re now hiring Android Developers at both Mid and Senior levels as part of continued growth within their product and engineering team.

This is a hands-on Android position within a modern, product-led engineering environment. You’ll be working on a native Android application where reliability, performance, and user trust are critical.

Depending on your experience, the role will either focus on deepening technical ownership or helping shape engineering standards, architecture, and mentoring across the team.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Building and maintaining native Android applications using Kotlin
  • Collaborating closely with product managers, designers, and backend engineers
  • Contributing to clean, scalable architectures (MVVM / Clean Architecture)
  • Integrating APIs and third-party services
  • Improving app performance, stability, and overall user experience
  • Writing and maintaining unit and UI tests
  • Participating in code reviews and technical discussions
  • Mentoring other engineers (senior level)

What They’re Looking For

  • Commercial experience developing native Android applications
  • Strong knowledge of the Android SDK and Jetpack libraries
  • Experience with Coroutines, Flow, and asynchronous programming
  • Experience integrating REST APIs and networking layers
  • Familiarity with Android testing practices
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving product environment

For Senior-level candidates, they’re also keen to see:

  • Technical leadership and ownership mindset
  • Experience influencing engineering standards and decisions
  • A collaborative approach to mentoring and team development

Nice to Have

  • Exposure to CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience working closely with backend services
  • Interest in emerging technologies and data-driven products

Why This Role Is Worth a Look

  • A genuine tech-for-good product with real-world impact
  • Modern mobile stack and product-led engineering culture
  • Hybrid working - 3 days per week in a Sydney office, 2 days from home
  • Competitive salary ($140k–$185k + super + equity)
  • Strong focus on learning, development, and long-term growth
  • 3-stage interview process with quick turnaround (offer typically within a week)

Location & Eligibility

  • Sydney-based role - hybrid structure (3 office days, 2 WFH)
  • No visa sponsorship available - candidates must have Australian PR or Citizenship
