About the Role:
We are looking for a Cyber Security Architect to design, implement and develop CDC's Cyber Security Architecture. The incumbent acts as a critical partner and subject matter expert for our business ensuring appropriate cyber security controls are in place to protect CDC's assets, information and systems, whilst ensuring compliance with relevant government and industry standards. The Cyber Security Architect will also operate act as a steward and custodian for capabilities development and value realisation and will be responsible for improving processes. implementing systems and bridging the gap between strategy and execution.
Key Accountabilities
- Provide technical security advice and recommend control design in relation to IT, operational technology and industrial controls systems, Cloud, Web and applications.
- Lead threat modelling and design risk assessment activities for CDC networks and systems.
- Working collaboratively with stakeholders to ensure an ongoing resilient cyber security architecture and methodology that adapts and adjust to the continually evolving threat environment.
- Responsible for coordinating the creation of standards for cyber and network security
- Actively contributing to the positive cyber security culture of CDC and proactively providing cyber security-related recommendations to the business in respect to its operations and projects, guiding stakeholders on appropriate controls
- Assist the Chief Information and Security Officer and the Head of Security and Intelligence by attending, contributing and leading as necessary, appropriate team and stakeholder meetings and committees to ensure excellent stakeholder engagement and communication.
- Contribute to the maintenance of cyber and network security documentation within the broader Security Management Framework.
- Contribute to the design, development and execution of cyber security assurance programmes ensuring ongoing compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and standards.
- Contribute to the testing and implementation of CDC's cyber security incident response plans.
- Contribute to the design, development and execution of CDC's cyber security program of work focused on improving maturity of CDC cyber capabilities and minimisation of residual cyber risks.
About You:
- 10+ years demonstrated experience leading ICT/Cyber Security Architecture with significant experience across network infrastructure, operating systems, enterprise applications in both Corporate Technology and Operational Technology settings.
- 5+ years in cybersecurity with at least 3 years working with critical infrastructure space or in Operational Technology Environments.
- Tertiary qualification in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, a related field, relevant certifications (CompTIA, ISC2, GIAC), or equivalent experience.
- Familiarity with regulatory and compliance requirements and participating in audits (ISO 27001, SOC 2, PCI DSS, NIST, Essential Eight, etc.).
- In-depth knowledge and experience using platforms - SIEM, EDR, NDR, Cloud Security and Vulnerability Management.
- Australian Citizenship with ability to obtain and maintain a NV1 Security Clearance.
