Network Engineer

Hello Network!

We are scouting for a network engineer for a long-term FREELANCE project in Luxembourg. The position is looking to worked 3 days onsite per week (2 days WFH) in the centre of Luxembourg.

Contractual points:

Duration: 6-12 Months Initially (Extendable into the new year)

Location: Luxembourg (3 days onsite / 2 days WFH)

Freelance / B2B contract

Full-time / 5 days per week

Languages: French AND English Fluency

About the Role:

As a Network & Security Operations Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and security of our IT infrastructure. You will be part of a dynamic team responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of our network, operational security, and telecom infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

Network Design and Implementation:

• Design, deploy, and maintain network components, primarily focused on Cisco SDA, ACI, and ISE technologies.
• Design, deploy, and maintain inter-site and internet connections, including multi-ISP, own AS number, and LUCIX connections.

Network Monitoring and Maintenance:

• Improve and maintain our SolarWinds monitoring solution to ensure optimal network performance.
• Maintain, upgrade, and automate network configurations as per requirements.
• Troubleshoot complex network issues and unwanted behaviour.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging network technologies, evaluate their potential, and conduct proof-of-concept tests.

Documentation and Reporting:

• Create comprehensive technical documentation and reports.
• Identify and report network-related issues and risks.

Technical Competencies:

• Strong background in network administration.
• In-depth knowledge of legacy Cisco networks.
• Solid understanding of Cisco SDA, ACI, and ISE technologies.
• Proficiency in SolarWinds monitoring solution.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Certifications:

• Professional network certifications, such as CCNP or CCIE, are highly valued.
