Software Engineer

C++ SOFTWARE ENGINEER – FLEMISH BRABANT – 12 MONTHS+

My client, a company working in the machinery and manufacturing industry, is currently searching for a FREELANCE C++ Software Engineer to join their project working on Linux-based software to interface with complex hardware systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain C++ applications running on Linux operating systems
• Develop software that interfaces with hardware, tools, and instrumentation
• Optimize performance, reliability, and maintainability of existing software systems
• Participate in architecture design, code reviews, and technical discussions
• Debug and resolve complex software issues in production and development environments
• Collaborate with hardware, systems, and test engineers to define software requirements
• Write clear technical documentation and contribute to best engineering practices

Requirements

• Strong proficiency in modern C++ (C++11 and newer)
• Solid experience developing software on Linux platforms
• Strong understanding of object-oriented design, data structures, and algorithms
• Experience with multithreading, concurrency, and performance optimization
• Familiarity with build systems and tools (e.g., CMake, Make, GCC/Clang)

Start date: ASAP

Duration: 12 MONTHS+
