The Opportunity
NORRIQ Financial Services is looking for a Data Scientist to accelerate our data analytics, machine learning, and generative AI initiatives. You will work with leading financial institutions to design, build, and deliver data-driven and AI-powered solutions that create tangible business impact.
Roles & Responsibilities
Client-Facing Responsibilities
- Design and implement machine learning and generative AI solutions for complex financial use cases.
- Conduct exploratory data analysis and build insightful dashboards or visualizations.
- Present analytical findings and actionable recommendations to senior management and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Data Engineers, Business Analysts, Developers) to industrialize AI solutions.
- Provide technical guidance and advisory on data science and AI best practices.
- Develop and maintain AI and ML models using Python, scikit-learn, and deep learning frameworks.
- Apply a wide range of analytical methodologies, including:
- Generative AI techniques (Prompt Engineering, RAG, Fine-tuning, Speech-to-Text, Agentic Applications, Image Generation & Interpretation)
- Predictive AI and classical machine learning approaches.
- Contribute to production-grade AI applications using tools such as GitLab, DVC, and MLOps frameworks.
- Ensure reproducibility, version control, and performance optimization across models and pipelines.
- Create and maintain Jupyter notebooks for experimentation and documentation.
- Contribute to NORRIQ’s AI & Data Science Center of Excellence through knowledge sharing and internal projects.
- Support proposal writing and solution architecture for client engagements.
- Stay at the forefront of developments in data science, AI, and GenAI frameworks (LangChain, Haystack, etc.).
- Fluency in English, and Dutch or French, with at least passive knowledge of the other
- Belgian residency
