The Rock Drills Technology Unit is responsible for the product development, supply and support of premium rock drill offering for Surface Drilling and Underground Drilling applications as well as for global aftermarket and service. Our expertise in best-in-class rock drilling technology is recognized globally, and it drives us to continue excel through innovation in rock drills, digital products and supply chain excellence. We are now looking for a Digital Development Team Lead. This position is full-time, permanent and located at Tampere Myllypuro site. Your mission is to lead software development team and ensure on time quality delivery of development roadmap. You act as senior coach to the team getting into the hands-on development work as well.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations, provide technical guidance, and ensure effective collaboration within the team
  • Identify talent needs, support professional development, and ensure the team has the right skills for current and future projects
  • Manage project timelines, allocate tasks, and monitor progress to ensure timely delivery of software solutions
  • Implement and uphold coding standards, conduct code reviews, and ensure the delivery of high-quality, reliable software
  • Foster a culture of innovation, encourage adoption of new technologies, and drive process improvements within the team

Your Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or Computer science or a related discipline
  • Several years’ progressive experience in software development, including hands-on coding
  • Proven track record to deliver high-quality, reliable and scalable software with the nature of stepping into hands-on development when needed
  • Strong analytical, strategical, technical, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent collaboration, communication and leadership skills
  • Fluency in English is mandatory to be successful in the role
